ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
The Red Sandcastle Theatre has arrived in Leslieville as a creative hub for the theatre and theatre going community to have a lot of fun! 50 Seats of Magic.
People ask "What's going on here?" to which I have to reply "Anything is Possible". Plays,Concerts, Comedy, Kids Camps are offered with a 'Play in a week" format, One day birthday party/plays are held, Music Classes, Art Shows, Open Mic nights, Fund raisers, Art Shows, Book Launches, Rehearsals. Mostly Plays though, everything from One Woman Comedies to Escape from Happiness, to Christmas Pantomimes. We opened with Susanna Hamnet's Straight from Broadway Show 'Nearly Lear" and in the first year there were 42 productions, three Dora Nominations and one Dora Win. So very Proud. Come look in the washroom for posters of past productions. It makes me happy.
So what is going to go on this year? Well, Anything is Possible In this very colorful blackbox. I plan on writing some plays, acting in a few plays, directing a few plays, what are your ideas? Call me, 416 845-9411 Come and Play!

Hello Rosemary,
As a neighbour, let me start off by welcoming you in Leslieville.
I am myself involved in theatre and it is on behalf of my group that I’m writing to you.
A couple of years ago, I created (with others) a French-language community theatre group (Les Indisciplinés de Toronto). We’ve produced 5 shows so far, two having been written by us. The venue you’ve just opened seems to be the kind of place we could certainly use, either for rehearsals or shows (we usually play for 3-4 nights at a time) and I wonder what your fees would be for those.
Thanks for sharing as much info as you can on this, I’d love to go back to my group with a proposal for this exciting new venue. We have 2 shows planned for 2011-2012.
You can also contact me at 416-206-1385 if you wish to discuss this over the phone.
Regards,
Pierre
Nice to meet you last night. Do you have an email list. I’d like to be on it.

Hi Carl, Thank you, yes I will put you on the email list, the send outs come from my personal email so it will be from Rosemary Doyle, and thank you so much for coming, you and your date were the best audience ever! See you at the fringe

Hey Rosemary,
Just wondering if there’s a saturday night in late september that I could put together a night of female stand up there. would love to get more details…in terms of what it would cost, possibility of bar for the one evening…etc.
chat soon,
fiona
Rosemary,
Saw Anne Marie Scheffler’s one woman play “Suddenly Mommy” last night. I loved the intimate space that allowed Anne Marie to easily interact with her audience. The play was excellent and full of moments of self recognition for any parents in the audience.
Thanks
B
Hi Rosemary
I saw “Suddenly Mommy” in early October and was totally impressed. What a great show in a funky space close to home!
Welcome!
Thanks
Hello, I love the idea of your spring break camp. What ages would this be for? I am thinking that it would be interesting for my nephew who is 15 but I know he would be put off if most of the kids were younger. (even though a cast is made up of all ages, he wouldn’t want to be the only teenager ) thx
Hi Rosemary!
We spoke this week (Thursday) with regards to booking your space for that week in April… the 2nd or 3rd week… Second week would be preferable?
Is it still available? We would like to book the space for “Spiel Players – presenting The Russian Play” written by Hannah Moscovitch.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
