Red Sandcastle Theatre is committed to safety for patrons and performers.
Mask wearing remains in affect for our intimate theatre.
Our 50 seat independant black box is an intimate theatre venue that allows for unique events. Patrons and performers share the theatre space in close quarters, this is why we have a mask mandate to protect patrons and performers alike. When a performer becomes ill, they risk cancelling their event on top of navigating their health and we want to be mindful of our indie creators as well as our patrons who visit. We strive to keep all who enter Sandcastle as safe as possible.
What we do:
• Red Sandcastle staff and crew are up to date on vaccinations and will wear a mask at all times
• Regular cleaning and sanitizing of the theatre
• 5 HEPA filters throughout the theatre running at all times
• Hand sanitizer is available at the front door, washrooms, and change rooms
What you can do:
Everyone
• Wear a mask that covers your mouth, nose, and chin and fits you properly (adults are mandatory, children 5 and under are strongly recommended to wear masks)
• Due to mask wearing, we ask no food or drink is brought inside the theatre (only emergency bottled water for a quick sip)
• We ask that if you are not feeling well and are exhibiting symptoms of illness such as coughing, sneezing, headaches, and high temperature that you change your tickets to a future date
Rentals/Performers
• Wear a mask when you are not performing
• Bring extra disposable masks to be handed out before your show to patrons
• Communicate to your ticket holders our mask mandate so everyone knows before they come to the theatre to bring a well fitted mask to enjoy the show
• Provide an intermission for patrons to go outside and enjoy a drink or snack break
